Lou and Ted have enjoyed two different Train Trips. Both of these Amtrak travels were an extension of another vacation.

After our Alaskan Family Cruise in July of 2017, we traveled home to Minnesota on the Empire Builder from Seattle, Washington to St. Paul, Minnesota.

In February of 2002, We traveled on the Sunset Limited from San Antonio, Texas to Orlando, Florida. After a pleasant 10-day stay in Florida, seven days at the Shades of Green resort in Walt Disney World, we returned to San Antonio also on the Sunset Limited. This trip was before Hurricane Katrina and the Sunset Limited traveled the entire southern United States, from Los Angeles, California to Orlando, Florida. After Katrina, much of the tracks along the Gulf Coast were damaged and now the Sunset Limited no longer travels east past New Orleans.
